In 1993, Ridglass Manufacturing Company, Inc., set a new standard in the field of high profile hip and ridge. Ridglass SBS High Profile Hip & Ridge quickly became the preferred choice for quality conscious contractors and homeowners.

While the primary ingredients are fiberglass and SBS, Ridglass incorporates: innovation, technical expertise, rigorous quality control and solid customer service into every box shipped.

Growing Beyond Ridglass
In June of 2001, the management team of Ridglass renamed the company RGM Products, Inc., (RGM) to accommodate the wider range of products offered. The passion for excellence and market leadership that grew the original company was reinvigorated as RGM.

RGM brought their same commitment to quality to an entirely new line of roofing accessories. The company began offering a wide a variety of underlayments, starters, cap sheets and roll roofing products, carving out new market niches for the company.

New Opportunities
In August 2005, Dallas-based ElkCorp (Elk) acquired RGM. Elk, a national building products manufacturer, enabled RGM to expand faster by taking advantage of the company's national distribution channels. At the same time, RGM aligned itself with a company known for superior quality and service. For eight years in a row, Elk shingles have been rated "Best in Quality" by readers of Builder magazine.

Together, both companies are committed to providing innovative products and outstanding customer service.
